For the unversed, WhatsApp currently allows users to delete messages sent to individuals or groups with the ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature. This allows the sender to remove messages for everyone from the platform in a stipulated time (until around an hour). This feature is extremely helpful when you want to delete a message that you have accidentally sent to an individual or group chat. But what happens in case you accidentally delete important messages by clicking on the ‘Delete for Everyone’ option instead of ‘Delete for Me’. Well, looks like WhatsApp has understood your predicament. According to a new report from WABetaInfo, which tracks all the latest developments related to WhatsApp, the messaging platform is apparently working on an ‘Undo’ button for the messages that have been deleted for you. So, how will this ‘Undo’ button work? For instance, if you press the “Delete for Me” option, WhatsApp will immediately display an ‘undo’ button at the bottom of the screen, asking whether you want to undo your action or not, such as changing it from “Delete for Me” option to “Delete for Everyone” option and vice-versa. You will only get a couple of seconds to undo your action. Tapping on the undo option will restore the deleted message. The feature is reportedly rolling out with the WhatsApp for Android beta version marked 2.22.13.5. However, there is no word yet on when this feature will be made available to all users. Also, the feature is currently under development, whether or not will it make it a stable build remains to be seen. Besides the ‘undo’ button, WhatsApp is also testing another feature that will allow you to edit a message after it has been sent. The company also recently increased the file sharing limit to 2GB from 100MB and rolled out the feature with WhatsApp beta v2.22.13.6 across the globe. It also released the message reaction feature for all WhatsApp users.
