One tweet from Apple fan Marc Forrest brought the feature to the world, which clears your phone’s RAM, preventing it from slowing everything else down with apps you’re not using. In his tweet, Marc says that all you need to do is hold down the power button on top of the phone until the slide to power off button appears, and then hold down the home button, located in centre of the bottom of the phone, until the app screen appears.

However, they will reload when you go to them. It’s not a perfect fix – reloading apps means a short delay when you open them, and iOS does a pretty good job of managing your RAM usage by itself.
