For the longest time ever, Apple has always used LCD type displays on its iPhones, but it looks like that is going to change in the foreseeable future. Samsung has already started mass production of OLED displays and we are sure that they are going to be present on the company’s iPhone 8. With LG also innovating to the point where we might see powerful wireless charging pads that can deliver up to 15 watts of power to super charge a smartphone, it appears that hard wiring a phone to charge it will become a less popular option, at least for those who ample time on their hands. When such wireless chargers are actually released, you can also imagine the level of charging performance and efficiency witnessed from desktop and wall chargers. Another change coming to iPhone 8 is the removal of the home button. Apple is hell bent on making its iPhones as thin as possible and unfortunately, that will give rise to a few trade-offs. The all-important home button might cease to exist as we speak and it looks like the 3.5mm headphone jack might also be a thing of the past too. Unfortunately, we are probably going to witness this during 2017 so for now, why don’t we all enjoy the imminent arrival of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which are expected to be the company’s very first iPhones to feature a dual-camera setup.
