True to HTC’s penchant for making good and luxurious phones, One M9 follows the lineage of HTC One series. Not much has changed and at a glance the One M9 and its preceding One M8 would look same; however One M9 is lighter and smaller than One M8. Sadly the phone is neither dust proof nor is it waterproof however HTC is planning to release IP69 water-protective case for the device soon among the other accessories it is planning to release Dot view case as well. Also the phone has all metal uni body and HTC One has implemented the dual anodization i.e. using two metals to guard against the corrosion and also to give lavish look to the phone.HTC One M9 will be available in different colors: Pure Gold version, Gun metal Gray version , Pink body with Golden frame and Silver body with Rose Gold frame. The new design includes a front bezel which gives an outer frame like look to the screen and appears as if it is an independent block placed on the phone. One M9 is scratch resistant and has much less slippery finish which aids in much firmer grip while handling giving it an unisex appeal. Other features of HTC One M9: Screen is 5 inch 1080p display, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz) processor, 3GB of RAM supports multi tasking, 32GB inbuilt storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The power and volume buttons have now shifted to the side. Most of the features is similar to the preceding series of HTC One however the major difference is its camera, Sense 7 UI and the larger battery. Also One M9 has the Boom Sound stereo speaker further upgraded by the Dolby Sound technology which is an addition to One M8 version. Outstanding features:
Camera: HTC One M9 has its major focus on the Camera which is suppose to be a Toshiba make. The rear camera is auto focus with 20MP BSI sensor camera on the back with F/2.2 aperture and dual-LED dual-tone flash which gives maximum shooting resolution is 5376 x 3752 px – that’s 10:7 aspect ratio. This supports 4K recording as well as raw capture. The camera sadly does not support Optical Image Stabilization however a sapphire glass protects the lens from scratches. Front camera is 4MP UltraPixel sensor which is without auto focus. HTC One M9 however has pre loaded HTC’s Eye Experience software enhancements and Zoe app. The phone also has latest Android Lollipop 5.0 version with the latest Sense 7 UI: Sense helps to make the phone more customized. HTC’s upgraded smart Blinkfeed now adds location-specific and timely content right on the lockscreen. It helps to put up the schedules, also for users who want to try out new combination of themes etc this is very useful. In all HTC One M9 Sense 7 UI has upgraded version of Blinkfeed. One M9 has 2840 mAh battery which is non replaceable however it is powered with fast charging feature.
With respect to connectivity, HTC One M9 has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi ac, NFC, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G and LTE. It also features ambient light, proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, magnetic, and sensor hub, while it supports single Nano-SIM cards. The phone will be ready for sale around mid of March all over however prices have not been declared yet. For users who aim at using the luxurious Android smartphones, HTC One M9 seems to be right answer.
