Apparently, Trump Tower in New York City was briefly renamed to “Dump Tower” on Google Maps by some hackers. However, the original name was restored on the mapping service by early Sunday morning. The tower serves as President-elect Donald Trump’s home in Manhattan. Its central location on Fifth Avenue has posed security challenges for the Secret Service and local law enforcement. Also, the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Columbus Circle had been renamed to “Dump International Hotel and Tower” on Saturday, reports the CNN....

Now, Google has open-sourced a lump of code named DeepLab-v3+, its “latest and best performing semantic image segmentation model”, and implemented in TensorFlow. While this is not the same tech that produces the Portrait mode on Pixel 2 handsets, it however can produce results similar to those of the Pixel 2, Google clarified. DeepLab-v3+ is built using convolutional neural networks or CNNs – a machine learning method that’s mainly good at analyzing visual data – so that the outlines of the foreground objects are marked out accurately....

While the company did not divulge many details about the devices, an alleged prototype of the upcoming Pixel 7 smartphone has now been spotted on the e-commerce platform, eBay. The listing of the Pixel 7 prototype was spotted by a Reddit user named u/lucklouie on eBay, who shared it on the Google Pixel subreddit (via Android Police). He also clarified that he wasn’t the person selling the device. The reason behind the shutdown in Google Pixel smartphones is supposedly the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
